MONTREAL, May 4, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – The Union of Canadian Correctional Officers (UCCO-SACC-CSN) will hold a demonstration in front of Marco Mendicino’s office. UCCO-SACC-CSN will parade in front of the office of the Minister of Public Safety to express its dissatisfaction with the Commissioner of the Correctional Service of Canada. According to Jeff Wilkinsnational president of the union, “We submit our recent petition signed by thousands of our members and other employees of the Correctional Service of Canada, which is a vote of no confidence in our commissioner. Minister Mendocino must be informed that the employees of the Service Correctional Service no longer has confidence in its appointed commissioner.”
